When the rules on ESAs on planes changed I had no idea what I was going to do to get my dog across country. I moved thinking I would be able to fly back to get her in a few weeks but was devastated when I learned about the rules change. I am so glad I was able to get in contact with Steve!!! He answered all of me and my parents questions and helped calm our nerves with trusting a stranger with my dog. Steve is a true animal lover. For a guy who has worked with wild animals it was sweet to see how tender he is with puppies. The puppies arrived happy and completely unaffected by the transport, which was not my experience with air transport. I understand timing is an iterative process for pet transporters, but working with Steve to make timing work is definitely worth it! And kudos to his daughter for clear and efficient communication!

Steven brought my new puppy from Texas to California, and let me tell you, what a great guy who truly knows dogs and cares about them! He made sure to take the time to play with her throughout the ride and even pulled over to cuddle her at the beginning of the trip when she was nervous about the ride. We checked in often via phone call during the trip and he called us as well to give us updates. If you are looking to ship a dog this is definitely your guy and I will for sure be using him again if I need to ship my own dog! Can’t say enough good things, 5-star service!

Steve called me many times and was transparent along the way. I did ask for photos during the trip but didn’t get any but I think because he was focused on getting our pup to us in a timely manner. Many transporters told me it would take 2-3 days to get my pup, Steve did it in 1 day. Definitely using Steve again in the future.

Steve met and exceeded all of my expectations in transporting our family’s 6 month Bernadoodle from Austin, Texas, to Los Angeles, California. He was flexible when I needed to change pick up location last minute and he was incredibly professional. His vehicle set up is perfect for animals (he had three large crates securely set up in the back of his large, air-conditioned vehicle). I was very nervous about trusting our pup with someone and will never think twice about it again if I can get on Steven’s route. He knows more about dogs (and all animals) than anyone I’ve ever met and he gave me some helpful dog training and dog nutrition tips. I can’t say enough great things about my experience and the best way I know to say thanks is to spread the good word and assure anyone who was hesitant, like I was, to trust Steven with your pet.

I recently bought a puppy from a breeder in Alabama, and just before she could be flown to Philadelphia the airlines stopped taking dogs in cargo. It was very difficult to find a good ground transporter who would not be extending her trip with various pickups of other dogs, but I ultimately was fortunate to find Steve at Always Alert. He picked her up in Alabama, along with a few other puppies from the same breeder coming to the Philadelphia area, and had her here within 24 hours of pickup. He and his co-driver had to stop every two hours for rest breaks for the puppies, which made it a longer trip for them, but my puppy arrived clean and happy and obviously very well cared for during the trip. I am so grateful to Steve for bringing my puppy to our home in a timely and professional manner, and at a very reasonable cost, and highly recommend him and Always Alert for pet transport.

They took great care of our puppy and communicated well with us. We had a few mix ups on our end but Mr. Dornin and his team worked with us to be sure they got the pup delivered, despite the fact that they had to make modifications to their schedule to do so.
